Welcome to the official web site for the Illinois Paint Horse Association (IPHA), established January 2000. Our main purpose is to provide information to members regarding the show season, meeting minutes, points, and happenings in the IPHA.  The latest meeting minutes will be posted as soon as possible. The current show schedule will be posted as soon as it becomes available, and the show results and high point standings will be posted as soon as they are tallied. Enjoy!

1/27/2008 EXHIBITORS !! IMPORTANT !! 2008 NEW APHA ELIGIBILITY TO SHOW RULE

SC-160.A. ELIGIBILITY TO SHOW. A show must be open to all Paint Horse members in good standing with the APHA to gain approval. All exhibitors must possess a current APHA membership in order to show in APHA-approved classes. No exhibitor is required to be a member of any organization other than APHA in order to compete in an approved class. Show management must inspect the current card, legible photocopy of the current card or a temporary card at each show. Application/renewal for an APHA or AjPHA membership card shall be made on a form provided by APHA, available from them at no charge, and returned with applicable fees as provided below. A temporary membership card may be applied for through the show secretary at an APHA-approved show. Does not apply to Lead Line and Walk Trot Exhibitors.

You need to have a current APHA membership number in order to show in the APHA approved classes. You need to bring your card with you to each show.

2/13/2008 The Dream Factory in the St Louis area is having summer riding camps.  They are looking for broke horses to buy or adopt to use in the program.  If you have or know of a horse that would work for this purpose, please contact Judy Vollmar at 217/999-2000.

2/2/2008    In addition to your APHA membership required to show in ANY class, you will also need an Amateur, Youth, Novice Amateur, or Novice Youth to show in those classes.
